# Public-facing species

This page covers species that openly shape daily life.

That can mean they are widely known, politically recognized, or simply impossible to ignore in a modern city.

## For each species

Capture:

* Name and defining traits
* Social position in the present day
* Relationship to Mountain View
* Relationship to magic, law, and other species

## Questions worth answering

* Are they local, migrant, native, or displaced?
* What assumptions do others make about them?
* What parts of city life change around their presence?
